NFPA 2112

NFPA 2112: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard for Industrial Flash Fire Flame Resistant Apparel.

(1) Vertical combustion performance test.

(2) The thermal stability test is basically the same as the 500°F oven test in the NFPA 1975 standard.

(3) The protective performance test of the mixed action of thermal radiation and thermal convection, referred to as TPP method.

(4) Thermal mannequin test. It can predict the degree of second or third degree burns the body is likely to achieve, the lower the degree of total body burns, the better the chance of survival.

GRS – Global Recycled Standard

GRS is the abbreviation of Global Recycled Stand. GRS is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling. The GRS covers processing, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, trading and distribution of all products made with a minimum of 20% recycled material. It also sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.

EN ISO 11612

EN ISO 11612 is an European standard which specifies performance requirements for protective clothing made from flexible materials, which are designed to protect the wearer's body, except the hands, from heat and/or flame. 

The performance requirements set out in EN ISO 11612 are applicable to protective clothing which could be worn for a wide range of end uses, where there is a need for clothing with limited flame spread properties and where the user can be exposed to radiant or convective or contact heat or to molten metal splashes. 

EN ISO 11612 has several notations of flame and heat related hazards, such as A1 and A2 for flame spread, B or convective heat, C for radiant heat, D for molten metal and E for contact heat.
